Organic aloe is the base of this lotion, NOT water! Concentrated lotion-a little goes a long way!  That alone puts this lotion in a class all it's own. It takes very little to provide deep moisture (that isn't greasy!) vs regular lotions made with a base of water.

Soothing, moisturizing, deeply hydrating, essential oil aromatherapy, and works in easily!  You will truly love this lotion!

PERFECT for winter skin moisturizing! Scented with essential oils of ginger, orange, clove bud, cinnamon leaf and nutmeg.

Choose an airless jar with cap making it perfect for traveling (TSA approved), keeping at the office or in a drawer, and gifting or an 8 oz glass bottle with pump.

Note: The cap snaps on well however for travel we recommend either putting the jar into a zippered pouch or securing with a band just to make sure it doesn't come open during travel.

FAQ about some ingredients:

Cetearyl Alcohol: Isn't alcohol drying to the skin?

The chemical makeup of cetearyl alcohol is different from more commonly known alcohols. In cetearyl alcohol, the alcohol group (-OH) is attached to a very long chain of hydrocarbons (fats). This feature allows fatty alcohols to trap water and provides a soothing feel to the skin. It is used to help soften the skin and hair and to thicken and stabilize cosmetic products and is considered safe and non-toxic to the skin.

What is polysorbate 60?

Polysorbate 60 is an emulsifier made from the sugar ingredient sorbitol. Emulisfiers help to prevent products from separating and are sometimes used to help thicken lotions and other skin-care products.

What is phenoxyethanol? That sounds like a scary ingredient!

While it does sound scary, it would be MORE scary to not have this ingredient in lotions and cosmetics! That's because this chemical (which is also found in small quantities in green tea) helps to prevent fungi, bacteria and yeast in your lotion. It has been approved by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Panel, the Food and Drug Administration, and the European Economic Community as a safe, non-irritant for skin. However with any skin care product that's new to you, it's a good idea to do a skin-patch test because even the "safest" natural products can sometimes cause a reaction for some people. Every body is different.

What in the world is Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate?

It's a vegetable-based chelating agent....um...a what?

Basically it's a fancy way to say it "catches" metal ions. Why is this important in lotion? Because they play a crucial role in maintaining the health and effectiveness of our skin. Chelating agents have the power to improve the stability and shelf life of skincare products, protect against environmental pollutants, and enhance the absorption of the active ingredients in the lotion.

Finally, what about organic ethyl alcohol?

This is an alcohol that gets a bad wrap, bringing us back to our middle school years and stinking facial toners. However in very small quantities, like in this lotion, it makes the lotion feel lighter on the skin, dry quickly, and phew-no stinging!
